The Wenig Family Charitable Fund was founded by Devin Wenig and his wife, Cindy, to address issues of access and inequality in the United States. We support non-profits with strong leadership that use technology and/or artistic expression to level the playing field for America’s most vulnerable citizens.

Devin Wenig is a purpose driven global technology leader. He’s passionate about building great organizations and teams to make a positive impact on communities around the world.
Throughout his career, Devin has achieved clarity of vision and outstanding financial performance for complex global organizations. He’s written extensively on technology and its impact on society, including small businesses and the economy, STEM education and the future of AI and work.
Devin is the co-founder and CEO of Symbolic.ai, an AI company that unlocks the potential of professional writers and publishers.
From 2012 to 2019, Devin was President, and then President and CEO of eBay. During his tenure, Devin was recognized as One of America’s “100’s Most Innovative CEO’s” (Forbes)” companies, a “Highest Rated CEO” (Glassdoor), A “Top 100 Connected Leader” (Brunswick), One of “Retails 10 Best CEO’s”, and One of the “Bay Areas Favorite CEO’s”.
Devin has focused extensively on empowering entrepreneurs, women, the LGBT community and minorities in technology career paths.

Before joining eBay, Devin spent 18 years at global technology and media company Thomson Reuters. There, he served as CEO of Thomson Reuters Markets, the 33,000-employee $9 billion media and technology business created from the merger of Thomson Financial and Reuters in 2008.
Devin began his career as CEO of Nastech Pharmaceutical Co, one of the United States’ first public biotechnology companies, which he assumed on the untimely death of his father, the founder of the company.
Devin serves on the Board of Directors of General Motors and previously served on the Advisory Board of Salesforce Inc. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Union College and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University Law School. He has been a co-chair of the Governors of the Consumer Industries for the World Economic Forum, a member of the Business Council and a trustee of The Paley Center for Media. He lives in Silicon Valley.
